WALKING
We are located right by the Huddersfield Narrow Canal at Holme Mills, just off West Slaithwaite Road. It’s an flat 1.3 mile walk from Slaithwaite or 1.6 miles from Marsden along the towpath. The towpath has some bumpy slopes and can be a bit muddy in winter, so care needed with buggies and wheelchairs.
ACCESSIBILITY
The tap and beer garden have step-free access. We have a large accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
The front door and main bathroom door width is currently 800mm, which some wheelchair users can navigate easily, however some users with wider wheelchairs may experience difficulties. We are looking into options on how we can widen our doorways. Our team are always happy to assist customers with accessing the tap. Please do not hesitate to ask, or contact us in advance at tap@zapatobrewing.com and we’ll do everything we can to help.
ON YOUR BIKE
You can cycle to us along the canal towpath or on the A62 Manchester Road from either direction and there is plenty of room to park your bike.
ON THE BUSES
Catch a bus to Zapato any day of the week. First Bus runs buses regularly between Huddersfield, Slaithwaite, Marsden and Oldham. Leave a good ten minutes when you’re leaving Zapato - it’s uphill!
CHOOSE THE TRAIN
Trains run once an hour seven days a week between Huddersfield, Slaithwaite, Marsden and on to Manchester Piccadilly. Evening trains after 5pm run directly to Leeds and on to Hull. Journey time from Slaithwaite to Huddersfield is 6 minutes. Check online for up to date running times. Slaithwaite station is a few mintues walk uphill from the centre so set off in good time. Marsden station is next to the towpath for the Manchester facing platform.

BY CAR
Zapato supports low carbon travel and promotes awareness of carbon emissions, reducing single occupancy car journeys, congestion and parking problems
If you do need to drive to the tap, please consider car sharing and also please be respectful of our neighbours. Do not park on the double yellow lines or in the staff car park. Customer parking is located at the around the back of the mill.
